I’ve had this brand of rice cooker for 6 years but needed a bigger one. I just received it and was disappointed when I saw that it was chipped. Wouldn’t have been a big deal except that water will seep through and get trapped between the glass and broken plastic. I’ll probably get cut while I’m washing it too. I’m hoping I can get a replacement of the lid instead of returning the whole thing.Loved this rice cooker, but it will burn your rice on the warm setting that it immediately goes to once it is done cooking so disconnect it from the wall altogether! It makes rice quick and superiorly hot which we all love.Do not buy this product. Regret this purchase since I can’t even return nowGood price quality proportionOkay, it does look good and it is powerful, but be careful what you wish for (maybe 500 watts is too much). This thing cooks rice almost as fast as a Microwave, unfortunately that is not what it is meant to do.It boils so violently, it splatters water all over your countertop from around the lid.Be prepared to constantly be wiping up an area over a yard in diameter and keep it away from things (especially other electronics or food) that you do not want to get really wet.It also burned my rice every single time it was used. It never, ever once turned itself off. I had to unplug it each time the rice began to burn.Last but not least, as I was determined to figure out how to tame this evil villain down, I smelled burning plastic and it died forever. This was on my fifth or sixth attempt as it had just begun the vigorous boil. I had a meal in the making and a bucket of uncooked rice. I took the insert out, put it directly on my Gas Cooktop, and finished cooking the rice on low (the one and only time my rice didn't burn).Luckily I had it less than an month when it died and Amazon provided a near instant refund and they paid for return shipping. We've tried making 2, 4, and 6 cups of rice at a time. Washed the rice 2, 3, 4, and even 5 times. Tried two brands of rice as well. No matter what we do, the water bubbles up so violently it starts splattering out EVERYWHERE in a 3 foot radius. The first time we made rice, there was white dots all over my toaster oven and anything else on the counter within range. We tried so many things, but just couldn't get it to make rice without the splatter. 9 times out of 10 it makes nice fluffy rice though. The 1 out of 10, it will have crunchy rice left over randomly. We figured out a workaround for the splattering... We balance a SECOND lid on top of the first lid, and that catches 95% of the splattering and drips it back down on the lid. We're going to grab a different rice maker and throw this one away since we're out of the return window. What a piece of junk.It does cook rice, but it's pretty messy and needs a lot of cleaning. Anyway, it stopped working completely after 6 months.Used to make steamed rice for home cookingThis was a decent rice cooker while it lasted. Unfortunately it stopped working after 3 months.arrived well and works very well. thank you.Le produit ne fonctionne plus au bout de 3 mois est ce normal
