It is stainless n easy to clean!It made my basmati rice just fine. I got this rice cooker to replace my non stick rice cooker to cut down on toxins. It only has one button where my old one had 6. It has vague instructions. Decided to go with cup of water to cup of dry rice and it worked. Interested to see how it cooks brown rice or wild rice with no button to let it know what type you put in there. Brown usually cooks much longer than white.....I like that there is no nonstick coating or aluminum. The insert for steaming and the spoon included are however plastic.I gladly accept some sticking of rice to the pot as a price to avoid nonstick coating and aluminum. I have only had the cooker for a few weeks I am happy with it at this point but cannot comment on it's longevity.I like the size of this pot as we eat a lot of rice with a family of four.Yes,the inner pot is stainless steel. I didn't realize until I opened my shipment that the upper lid inside is not stainless steel. I would say it is made of aluminum. No one mentioned this in their reviews nor is it written in the product description as far as I can tell. So aluminum will still be in the cooking process. If this doesn't matter to you, then you will probably like the cooker.Pretty good product for the price. It is not easy to find a rice pot with an all stainless steel inner pot.May be I received a dud, but my unit burns rice on keep-warm mode. It does well as any rice cooker should. It's unacceptable to spend 20 minutes to scrub the pot every time I need to cook rice. Returning.Liked the product but haven’t used it yet because it’s too big for just two people. Made a mistake when I ordered.I'm satisfied with this rice cooker. I'm glad i've bought it. Cooking time is less like 5 cups in 20 minutes!! I'm hoping that it will last for years.
