That's one of the reasons I love Amazon. Placed my order and 1 week later it was delivered from Japan. I also own the larger 16cm/1.5Q version in sapphire blue but found that when I try to cook just 1 cup of rice it doesn't turn out as good. The 16cm Staub does best when you cook 1.5 to 2 cups of rice. The 12cm I just ordered works flawless for 1 cup.It does work on my induction stove, however it does take a little longer to initially get to a boil. When I mention 1 cup, I'm talking about the Japanese 1 cup, which equals to 3/4 US cup.I mostly eat Jasmine or Sushi rice. Regardless, I find the rice better tasting when I use my Staub. It took a while to find the right rice/water ratio and settings on my induction stove but once you have it dialed in, it's easy.
