Nothing beats old school rice cooker. I’ve had the newer model of tiger rice cooker but it never kept my rice. My rice is always bad the next day no matter if I turn the power off or leave it on my rice will always be watery. I’ve had enough and decided to back to the old rice cooker and they are life saving. My rice always come out great and it keeps my rice nice and fresh the next day. Love it and I hope they never stop making these old school rice cooker.I love tiger rice cookers. They are the best. Only thing is when it got delivered it had a big dent on the side. It’s like 4 inches long. I washed up everything and made a pot of rice just to make sure it worked ok and it did. I guess I will gust have to live with the dent.The packaging was not good. The rice cooker got placed in a larger box than the cooker box. Only three of the air filled pouches (2each) were placed in the large for cushion and obviously not enough. The lack of more air filled pouches allowed the rice cooker to move around quite a bit. That’s probably how it got dented. I’m going to live with the dent cause I don’t want the hassle of sending back.If rice is your daily diet, you need this rice cooker. The quality and the feature of this cook is perfect for daily rice cooking. Will buy it again when needed.Attempting to get a new rice cooker prior to Lunar New Year to surprise my mom, as part of a good luck in the Asian tradition. The first rice cooker arrived 2 days as promised. My mom was so stoked she received it so fast. So disappointed, there was a huge dent outside of the rice cooker, I guess they didn't check when it was packed as the box seemed fine. Anyway, I asked for a replacement. The bad thing was we didn't have a rice cooker during the new year as I gave away my old one before it was arrived, hopefully we won't starve the entire year, lol. (Asian believe if you run out of the 5 essential things such as rice, salt, water, gas & oil during the first day of the year, you will have bad luck the entire year) The good thing was they sent it immediately and we received it 2 days later. So far, I am pretty happy with it.I am Chinese. Was told to buy Tiger and Zojirushi, and online research tells me that I had to make sure my rice cooker was made in Japan and not the cheaper Chinese versions. This fit the bill. These things are pricey, but I’m hoping it will last 10+ years like my last which I was only replacing because the inner pot had a peeling surface and I couldn’t find a replacement pot to buy.It seems to cook rice quickly and properly. No complaints.Perfect rice each time we use! Never burnt, never too soggy.Easy cookingGood rice cookerMakes perfect rice every time. Just make sure you find the rice you like.
