The Sunpentown Shabu Shabu and Grill has been a ice addition to our kitchen. It is a nice cooker for shabu shabu or hot pot cooking. It works fine and looks good as a home cooker. It looks good in the center of the table. It's not a high-end piece of equipment and it is not a Cuisinart or some other name brand kitchen electronic. But, it has a nice looking design that looks presentable on the table. You can achieve a shabu shabu or hot pot cooking using a pot and a hotplate, but it is not presentable on the table for a dinner and it is not really safe with the hot plate and the pot as separate pieces that could cause an accident. The unit is also good or steaming which is a plus. I sometimes use my rice cooker to steam along with cooking rice, but sometimes I need a little more room dedicated for steaming and this unit does the trick. The glass lid is nice. The accessories are removable for easy cleaning.What makes it really useful for me is that it is also a grill and an extra cooking unit for me in the kitchen. If I need to cook, boil or grill something and don't have a spare spot on my stove, I can pull this out and use it as another working cooking area. This is also not priced very expensive and makes a great gift as well. I recommend this for it's different uses, how presentable it s on the table and how it is priced not expensive and being affordable.
