We have had this for about a month, using it several times a week. The cons are really just design flaws, but if you are aware of them you can decide if you can live with them.Pros: Pops well and evenly, and pretty quickly. No burnt kernels, as long as you do not leave it unattended.Cleaning is easy. Just pop the top into the dishwasher, and use a damp towel on the base.Makes a reasonable amount of popcorn.If you use fresh popcorn, there will be few unpopped kernels.Cons: Do not expect to use the top as a bowl. It gets hot and full of oil. Just pour your popped corn into another bowl.The handles on the base and top do not have any barrier to keep the oil from covering the inside. Hence con #1 above.It gets hot. You will need to use paper towels, cloth, or oven mitts to flip the unit. And they will get oil on them. It is a tad awkward to flip and remove the base. I do not advise letting children do it, but you do get the hang of it after a while.Tips and tricks: To get movie theater tasting popcorn, use butter flavored coconut oil, and Flavacol seasoned salt, both available on Amazon.You do not need as much oil as the instructions state; we use about half the amount suggested. The directions also say you can add two scoops (scoops are provided) of corn. However, the amount of popped corn can be too much with two full scoops, and the bar that stirs the popcorn will be unable to stir that popcorn properly which could cause burnt kernels. So use a little less than 2 full scoops.The unit can also be used as a grill, but we have no plans to use it for that and thus cannot speak to that feature.So, bottom line is, great little popper, with a couple of design flaws. I would recommend, as long as you recognize and can deal with them. 4 stars, not quite a 5 because of the flaws.A little awkward to turn over when popcorn has finished popping as it is heavy. I use olive oil and yellow popcorn. Makes a small batch.I have been looking for a oil Popcorn popper for a while. This was smaller than I thought but still makes a decent amount of popcorn and pops most of the kernels. She said it is easy to use, easy to clean, and makes the best popcorn.Pretty good for popcorn didn't use for anything else yet but definitely willI'm sure this is an excellent product. However, it was smaller than I expected (didn't pay attention when I purchased it) so I sent it back and bought a different one.I don't really clean this. I use avocado oil and just wipe it down between batches. It has been working well. Kind of hot when I flip it over and sort of hard to pour into my popcorn bucket but I'm really happy with this.
