Well, I just received the pot from Amazon, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. I've been looking for a non coated rice cooker for a while, looked at stainless, ceramic, ceramic coated options. This one looks pretty reasonably priced and have some decent reviews so I gave it a shot- I figured that since I have prime membership, return is free so what not give it a shot. I'm Chinese and we've always cook rice in a rice cooker, I had no idea how to cook it on the stove, microwave etc.. I just got the cooker so I haven't cooked anything in it yet, that review is still to come. Based on my first impression, I think I'm going to like this product because the cooking vessel itself seem to be pretty good quality heavy bottom pot (much like those frying pan wih the multi layer bottom that's suppose to give better heat distribution)- that was the one thing that I was concerned about when placing the order because I can't tell from the picture whether this is one of those cheap single layer vessel or not. As it turns out the vessel seem to be pretty good quality. I've been researching online and in store for a while, other than the $200+ Panasonic fuzzy logic really fancy one that my Mom got, i wasn't able to find one that is reasonably priced or even come in stainless cooking vessel. I'm pretty sure it's going to stick because even the fancy one that my Mom got have a tendency to stick but again if I'm looking for something non stick, that would've been easy because everything else on the market are non stick but comes with a coating. Since I haven't tried cooking rice in it yet, I'll give it a 4 stars for now, if it cooks well, then I'll give an update with possible 5 stars
