My family has owned this for quite some time now, and it has turned out to be some of the best money we've spent. This comes in handy when you have those lunches or dinners where you don't want to heat up the oven, but still want some crispy fries or chicken strips, etc. We use this at least once a week, and in many cases every other day, as it's good for heating small batches of items.Just this weekend we tried the dehydrate function for the first time to dry some basil leaves. Only caveat to that is it takes a lot of time, so then the machine is taken up with dehydration when you might want to use it for other things. It makes me want to order a second instapot and lid - it's that good.Things I wish that could be changed are as follows:It does take up a good chunk of counter space, making it hard to store. We have about a 6 square foot section of countertop dedicated to just the instapot and this lid, along with a kitchen outlet that only gets used for it. I wish the lid could be smaller. The basket that comes with this air fryer lid is a bit small. I see why it's that size, given the size of the instapot, but it would be nice to fit larger portion sizes in the basket.I also wish the basket was dishwasher safe, with how much I end up cleaning it, but it does clean up very easily nonetheless.I was chatting with a friend who just got a ninja foodi, saying how I love my instant pot but wished I had the Duo Crisp version. I had just bought a 3quart air fryer, but liked the idea of returning that one and using my instant pot to do it all. I also was excited that this air fryer mechanism is branded by and designed for this instant pot. I happened to find this when it was still in stock and got it! OMG this is amazing!I did some quick comparisons between air fried things using this lid and in my other air fryer (chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks), and they both come out the same! There are a few differences to note:1 - The air frying basket included with this lid seems a little on the narrow side. The one on my air fryer is a bit wider and shorter. However, this lid comes with a rack you can use, so you essentially get two levels to air fry on! I love that!2 - You don't *have* to use the air fryer basket that comes with the lid - you can use ANY oven safe item that fits in the regular pot (or just use the stainless steel pot that comes with the instant pot). I'm currently searching for a multi rack that can fit in this thing so I can use it as a dehydrator rack.3 - The "turn now" feature on the lid is pretty neat. Nice little halfway point reminder (which is easier to me than remembering to do so.Another bonus is that the things people miss about the duo crisp (cough cough, yogurt function) aren't things I have to give up just to have an instant pot that air fries.Only "negative" is that you can't just keep the instant pot plugged in while you use the lid. In fact ,the plug on the lid has this webbing type of thing that prevents you from using the other plug in the outlet. If you're air frying things that shouldn't be a problem, but if you're doing something like dehydrating, which takes a while, you'll have a plug out of commission.Really excited to experiment with new things!Minor edit: one annoyance is that unlike a conventional air fryer, there’s no easy way to pour things from the air basket to a plate. You have to either use tongs/a spatula to remove the food or oven mitts to lift the basket out of the instant pot linerI have a pretty small kitchen so I try to limit my appliances to ones with multiple uses. This air fryer lid fits that bill. It adds a multitude of uses to my instant pot, which already does a million things. Great addition for those with limited space.I love my Instant Pot and the Air Fryer Lid is just as wonderful. These things have made my life easier. My only complaint is it's tricky to control the distance between the food and the heating element.I had an Instant Pot and when I saw this at an affordable price, I ordered it.. Not only does it prevent another appliance cluttering the kitchen, it works great. I have no complaints. Works great! This air fryer lid works a million times better than I thought it works on my InstantPot. Hubby talked me into trying it saying we could always return it if it doesn't work. (I think we can but didn't bother to look) So I went in to trying it thinking it would definitely be an epic fail! OMGosh .. I'm pleasantly reporting its a game changer! Food came out crispy and actuality looking edible .. So here's what I found,• Taste .. 10+• Looked Appetizing .. 10+• Crispiness .. 10+• Ease of Use .. 8.5-9READ the recipe and follow it EXACTLY at least the first time or until you feel comfortable making changes! Made a recipe from the book, but we KNEW what was the best way and food wasn't the best in many ways. 2nd time trying the same recipe .. fabulous!Apparently the inside basket’s non stick coating is super thin. I’ve used the lid for about 2 or 3 weeks and there are already two chips in the non stick coating. I’ve NEVER used metal utensils.... plastic tipped thongs and plastic spatula. We love this air fryer. Great addition to our instant pot and it does a great job with fries, wings, ribs, chicken nuggets and fish sticks.. However, I have to agree with other reviewers about the quality of the inside pot. It is disappointing and very possible quality. The non-stick coating started pealing off after only 2 uses and I’m not sure how long it will hold up. We use only silicone treated tongs and spatulas, and no harsh cleaning products. Hopefully Instant Pot will address this, maybe even conservative marketing a stainless steel replacement pot or better quality non-stick.So this is actually such a great product. I got an instapot from my mom and I wanted an air fryer but couldn’t justify another appliance in my pantry. Then I stumbled on this accessory so awesome. Comes well packaged it’s all good until you go to use it!It beeps at you to turn your food so I go to do so and it’s impossible to remove the dial level tray! The food just spills into the bottom. It’s burning hot and I haven’t found any sort of utensil I can use to lift it out. A chopstick was my best bet. Am I doing something wrong? How are you able to remove the tray to flip your food? I think it was very poorly designed it should have some sort of lifter or handle? Otherwise it’s too late I have it and I threw the box out so I’ll keep it but I would recommend an air fryer with a basket that has a handle.I’m an avid Instant Pot user so I was excited when I saw this air fryer and bought it right away. After the first use, the non-stick coating bubbled and started peeling. I contacted Instant Pot for a replacement. They told me they don’t have spare parts and I should return it to Amazon. I did, and bought a different air fryer. If you love your InstantPot you absolutely need this. I use it almost daily. It cooks everything quickly and it's easy to clean!Update: reduced to 4 stars as the coating on the basket is very delicate . It bubbled up and parts of it subsequently chipped off. Otherwise this product is great!
