I was reading an article “37 genius things to treat your kitchen to”….and there was FASTA PASTA. I bought it in October 2014, and have used it regularly. I have a very expensive Cusinart pasta cooker hanging on a pot rack in my kitchen-I guess for decoration. I always use the Fasta pasta. I hand wash it—-easily done, and store the directions with measurements inside it. For 2 years, I’ve been living in rural VT and I purchase a lot from Amazon (stores are few & far between). Without a doubt, this is the single best Amazon purchase I have ever made! It really is a GENIUS kitchen tool. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Buy it.This thing has made my life so much easier. No longer do I need to wait for water to boil, nor to hand wash a pot! For someone low on energy and attention span, this thing really is life changing. The little pamphlet it comes with specifies cooking times for various amounts of many different pasta types. So far I've used it countless times for linguine, and once for egg noodles.I will never cook pasta any other way.Pretty good for when my anxiety gets the best of me and I can't cook using the stove. It's easier to clean if you empty the pasta out immediately after draining. Hot water and Dawn soap removed the residue from the pasta easily. I wouldn't recommend using it to prep spaghetti with sauce since the sauce can sometimes stain containers similar to these. This container definitely feels sturdy and thick. Draining was easy but becareful on your grip. I still think this is a great cooking tool to have in the kitchen.Ok so I did not think this thing would work but it does!! Yes it takes the same amount of time than boiling on stove BUT, no pot, no strainer, no mess!! It’s great for one or two servings. My granddaughter lives on pasta and this gadget just makes my life easier. Need I say more?I have had mine for a while and keep finding new ways to use it. Cooking pasta is awesome as I just put it in, add the water, set the microwave timer and fix the rest of my meal. I have even used broth instead of water to cook the pasta in. For my rice, I add a can of rotel, for taco night. I just started adding salt to the water also, and it has really improved the taste of the pasta. My expectations were perry low on this when I ordered it. But it's Sumner, hour and I don't like dragging it that huge heavy cast iron pot to cook pasta in. This is FABULOUS. If you do bake a cake in it though, you might need to adjust your cooking time. My microwave does it in 5 minutes. This is the real deal and worth it!!This is amazing!!! I use it constantly! In fact, I use it so much that it’s always either on the counter, in the sink, in the dishwasher, or being used. It doesn’t even have a place in my cabinets because of how often I use it. I know this is gonna sound like an infomercial, but, I used to hate waiting for the water to boil on the stove. It took forever and I had to constantly make sure I was stirring the pasta so it didn’t get stuck. This thing is a godsend!! I keep telling myself to stop using it because I’m getting too many carbs from pasta but I just can’t because it’s so easy!!! I promise you, you will LOVE it!!! I myself just live alone and don’t have anyone else to cook for. But for the busy parents, I highly recommend this because you don’t need to juggle the pasta and kids at the same time!!! I’m able to just go in the other room and do other stuff while waiting for the pasta to cook. It tastes the exact same as if it were cooked on the stove! It’s amazing!!!Born and raised in an Italian household, I'd guess I've cooked and eaten 10,000 pounds of pasta--every possible way you can think of. This product is amazing. Follow the instructions carefully, and it will consistently deliver perfectly-cooked pasta every time. Two things: First, with a few varieties of pasta, I had to adjust cooking time about a minute or two. All depends on what level of Al dente you prefer. Second, the unit isn't quite big enough to cook a full pound of pasta. It would have been nice if it was just slightly bigger. That said, it's a real winner! Going to buy two more of them, just in case I accidently crack one.I bought my first Fasta Pasta cooker 15 years ago when I lived and worked in the US. I brought it back to the UK on my return. Last year my microwave broke and I made a mistake with as the replacement was not big enough for the Fasta Pasta so I gave it to the charity shop and bought an equivalent one from the EU. What a load of rubbish. As luck would have it the new microwave had a fault so I replaced it with one that would take the Fasta Pasta. I am now back where I started and I would not be without the Fasta Pasta.Had trouble replacing our old plastic pasta cookware that had gone brittle would have replaced with similar but none of the reviews were good. The Fasta Pasta is very good and gives decent cooking results using the microwave on all different pasta types.it is very good quality plastic and easy to clean and will not go brittle over time.It also comes with instructions and believe it or not made in the USA.Would recommend. This is a great Microwave Pasta Cooker. I mainly cook wholewheat pasta which cooks to perfection in 9 minutes when covered with preboiled water from the kettle. I made the mistake of placing the lid loosely on top of the cooker when using it for the first time and it boiled over. The lid should be put on properly after the pasta is cooked in order to carry it safely from the microwave to the sink when it is then used for draining the water out of the specially made drainage holes. Make sure you hold the little handles on the sides. It's just trial and error with the other types of pasta until you get the amount of water and cooking time that cooks it in the way that you prefer. I emailed the seller with a query when I first bought the Fasta Pasta Cooker but I didn't get any response.Better than expected to be honest. Used it for spaghetti and fusilli pasta. Both good so will try it it with noodles and vegetables next. Would have appreciated the recipe book which wasn't provided sadly. Hsd to download it and print it. It is a necessity.Have used it for spaghetti, linguine, fusilli, penne so far. Pleased with results, not really much different from using a pot full of boiling water.Do not use lid when cooking because it may well overflow.Be careful when draining if using the lid to do so - you have to locate the lid properly and hold it by the edges so it does not come off which might result in scalding. Also, watch out for cooked pasta falling through measuring holes in lid when draining.A good buy.
